Jee! Discovery is veilig thuis. Gelukkig maar, en laat ik ter viering een minder vrolijk document met u delen. Toen 36 jaar geleden President Nixon een gezellig babbeltje maakte met Neil Armstrong die op dat moment voor z'n werk op de maan zat, lag er in het Witte Huis een noodmemo klaar, die de President zou voorlezen als het om wat voor reden dan ook onmogelijk zou blijken voor de helden om terug te keren naar de Aarde. Na het informeren van de (dan nog toekomstige) weduwen zou Nixon, die oude boef, de honderden miljoenen wereldburgers die op dat moment aan de buis gekluisterd zaten meedelen:
