Sept 11 Photoblog (1)
Posts regarding the 9/11 photoblog project will be in English to accommodate an international audience.
Last June, Rob Salzman wrote a piece on his blog in which he called on bloggers worldwide to photoblog their lives on the day of September 11, 2003. While remembering that dreadful day, two years ago now, and all the dreadful things that flowed forth from it and continue to this very day, it might be good to send out another message at the same time: one that celebrates life, one that is outspoken in promoting peace, creativity and expression.
I was struck by Rob's frankness and non-americanocentredness (without resorting to playing the anti-american card, either). I immediately found his a good idea.
That is why I will be photoblogging my day today, in all its splendid simplicity and marvellous mundanity. In Rob's words:
"We're all human. Let's try to build understanding."
